About Ed

Ed Bendert is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He works with preteens, teens, and adults dealing with complex trauma, attachment issues, anger and emotional regulation, life transitions, and self-esteem. He also sees couples and families. His approach is insight-oriented and attachment-focused, built on acceptance and non-judgment. He prioritizes understanding the whole person rather than a list of symptoms, and sessions often include plenty of laughter alongside the serious work.

Before becoming a therapist, Ed spent more than a decade in an analytical field. The pandemic prompted him to reevaluate his priorities and shift intentionally into mental health. Originally from upstate New York, he brings both logical thinking and emotional attunement to his work. He has a particular interest in men's issues and the experience of introverted and sensitive men, and has connected especially well with teens and young adult men working to move forward. Outside of sessions, he enjoys biking, traveling, concerts, and movies.
