About Emily
Emily Schultz is an art therapy graduate intern completing her Master of Arts at Notre Dame of Maryland University, after a BFA in painting and fiber arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She sees clients under the supervision of Whitney Dahlberg, our board-certified art therapist. She works with preteens, teens, and young adults, and is open to children and adults. Her work has been with grief, anxiety, depression, anger, and obsessive-compulsive behavior. Her approach is person-centered and strengths-based, utilizing art and mindfulness alongside talking.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Emily moved to Maryland to pursue her education at MICA. Her own experience with grief, and with supporting people she loves, shapes how she sits with clients. In her off time, Emily can be found with her two dogs while she makes art, reads, gardens, and plays Dungeons and Dragons.
