About Heather
Heather Uhlenhopp is a Licensed Master Social Worker who earned her Master of Social Work from Boston University. She sees ages twelve through older adulthood and especially enjoys supporting families of younger children. Anxiety is her strongest area, where she helps it step back to make room for what matters. She also works with trauma, grief, and neurodivergence. She pays close attention to the link between physical and mental health. Trained in EMDR, she draws on IFS, somatic work, and attachment-based therapy, and loves bringing in art, movement, and play.
She grew up between Maryland and West Virginia. Early work in the justice system showed her how often systems fail people carrying trauma. More expert picnicker than hiker by her own account, she takes solo trips to places like Iceland and New Zealand. She believes there is never a bad time for ice cream, breakfast included. Her favorite pick-me-up is walking to the local coffee shop with Gordon, her ornery oversized dachshund.
“You deserve to be seen, heard, and understood as a whole person.”
